Christmas memories

My earliest Christmas memories are of short dresses, Mary Janes and my Daddy.

I still have my Angel stocking!

As we got older, on Christmas eve, my dad would take my brother and I out for a drive to see the lights and for hot chocolate while ‘Mrs. Claus’ put out the presents.

My dad loved decorating and entertaining and holy cow- could that man wrap presents!

Playing at the Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Co.

They were perfect. All the creases exactly straight, the tape never showed, all be-ribboned and labled (except the year after we got into them…)
My daddy has since passed away, but the memories are the best!

  1. Today my son came over..but he said the Christmas is just another day… but I almost cried when he said “It's just not the same without Grandpa”
